Punta Vincente Rocca – Isabela Island – Galapagos Islands

The exploration on this day was a panga outing, with no landing on any solid ground.  Just fyi for some – a panga is what some folks call a zodiac, a small boat (of sorts) that has inflatable sides and a solid bottom.  Anyway, come take a look at some of the cool sights from our panga –
Waves Against the Shore
The waves were rather large for us being so close to the shore – at least that’s what I thought for a few minutes here!  Still, it does make for a nice vantage point for capturing them crashing against the rocks!
Lacy effect rock wall
Some of the rock walls had the most interesting colors and texture on them.  I won’t bore you with lots of photos of rock walls, but this one was one of the most interesting.  I thought the ridges and crannies on the wall looked almost lacy.
Bands of Color
What really struck me in this image were the bands of color that can be seen.  The dark and light colors of the shore, topped with greenery, contrasting with the bands of blue, starting with the sky and making its way into the sea.
Enjoy!
