Galapagos Penguins – Punta Vincente Rocca – Isabela Island – Galapagos Islands
I never thought I’d see a penguin near the equator – Antarctica, yes, but the equator?  Well, meet the Galapagos Penguins!  They are small little birds that look like penguins you find further south.
Galapagos Penguins on Rocks
Here is our first sighting of the penguins.  They are on a rock, getting ready for some fun!
Diving Penguin
And, here was the fun!  They each took turns diving off the rock into the water – I was lucky enough to capture this one dive.
Galapagos Penguin Swimming
While riding in the panga, I looked down and saw this penguin swimming near our boat.  That’s seaweed in the water with him.
Swimming Away
And, here he is – swimming away…..to maybe climb on the rocks again?
Enjoy!
