Driving Thru the Sacred Valley
There are many Inca temple ruins on the way to Machu Picchu.  For that reason, the area between Cusco and Machu Picchu is called the Sacred Valley.  Here are a few scenes we came across while driving thru it –

Here is a beautiful view of the Sacred Valley – love the Andes Mountains in the background and the various shades of green.
Sharing Philosophy

I like this photo of Jeff (on the left) and our friend, Cliff.  They tend to get into some philosophical discussions from time to time, and this seems like a good place for one!
Terracing on the Road
As we drove thru the area, we got to see some good examples of terracing along the sides of the road.  It allows the farmers to create some good fields for growing crops and also for grazing animals.  Each terrace could be anywhere from 6 – 10 feet wide, so plenty wide for growing or grazing.
Peruvian Shepherd – Watercolor Sketch
As we drove along, we did see some shepherds dressed in the traditional garb (above and below).  I thought they would make some lovely photo sketches!
Shepherd Walk – Colored Pencil Sketch
Enjoy!
