The empty shoreline along the east entrance to Yellowstone is one of the few places in the park that don’t prohibit dogs. Thank goodness, because it’s a great swimming place for Miki – and who knew she’s a surfer dog? Check it out -
There were TONS of wood pieces along the shore, so Jeff and Miki had their pick of good fetching sticks! Here’s Jeff tossing one out into the water, and Miki’s right on it!
Miki had 2 approaches to entering the water, and this is one of them. You can barely see her in this shot as she sort of just barrels thru the waves to get to her beloved stick.
This has to be my
favorite approach of hers – just leaping the waves into the water! She seems to enjoy both equally, and it’s fun
watching her have so much fun! Plus,
this is great exercise for her, as she has to fight the waves to get out to
that stick of hers!
It didn’t take
Miki long to figure out the best and easiest way back to shore was to just “go
with the flow” and she did the doggy version of body surfing. She really seemed to get a kick out of this!
